Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran Lightening The Learning Climate dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada matapelajaran PPKn di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu. Adapun permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah “adakah pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran Lightening The Learning Climate dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada matapelajaran PPKn di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu?" Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu yang berjumlah 499 orang siswa. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling yaitu kelas X IIS 1 yang berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IIS 3 yang berjumlah 31 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, teknik observasi dan teknik angket, sedangkan teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis statistik uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung= 23,858, sedangkan ttabel= 1.998. Dengan demikian thitung> ttabel, tolak Ho dan terima Ha. Adapun saran dari peneliti, supaya strategi pembelajaran Lightening the Learning Climate bisa diterapkan guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar.
