Abstract

This research aims to study the influence of vermicompost made from Goat Manure in Ultisol and Inceptisol towards the growth and production of caisim (Brassica juncea L.). This research conducted in the greenhouse and chemistry, biology and soil fertility laboratory, Soil Science Department Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. The method used was completely randomized factorial design with two factors, 5 vermicompost treatments, 2 factors namely Ultisol, Inceptisol and 3 replications so that a total of 30 treatments. The parameters observed is soil analysis after treatment. The research result showed that the granting of vermicompost effectively increase fertility Inceptisol and Ultisol compared with vermicompost can deliver the highest results on Ultisol soil pH (5,60), N-tataol Inceptisol and K-dd Inceptisol, P-available best dose research was 25% N, P, K and 75% vermicompost on Inceptisol, on the ground end of the research. As well as by administering a dose of 100% vermicompost can give real influence on the height of the plant caisim and based on the results of the research productivity of plants caisim best on treatment can mean heavy wet 18,19 g with the best combination to increase the weight of wet and dry weight at dose of 100% vermicompost treatment.
