Abstract

Rubbish problem is one of the serious problem in Palembang city which is the authority of Dinas Kebersihan dan Keindahan (DKK) of Palembang. This research discussed Demand Robust Counterpart Open Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (DRC-OCVRP) on the route of the rubbish transportastion in Sematang Borang district, Kemuning district, Ilir Barat I district, and Seberang Ulu I district using Preprocessing technique to obtain the simpler DRC-OCVRP model. Results of the research indicate that route with optimal distances, which are passed by rubbish transportation vehicle in Palembang city on DRC-OCVRP model before using preprocessing and after using preprocessing technique, remains the same. In addition, the results show that the number of constraints decreases, the number of variables decreases, and the value of Z is unchanged, and the Z optimum model has fewer variables. The computation of the DRC-OCVRP model before and after using preprocessing is simplified with the help of LINGO 13.0 software to produce asimpler and more efficient model.
