Abstract

In this study, the test was done on pile soil using direct sliding and Atterberg boundary method. This study aims to determine the physical properties that comprise soil type, soil water content, and soil grain size as supporting parameters using Atterberg boundary method; and soil mechanical properties with direct sliding method. The origin of pile soil is from the Spreader 702 MTBU location that comprise of 30 samples. from the result of interpretation of Direct Shear 7 software, it can be seen that the between Shear Voltage and Normal Voltage will form the shear angle of linear line yielding cohesion value (c) equal to 10.62 kPa and internal shear angle (9) equal to 37,16°. Atterberg limit test with liquid limit (LL) on the 25th blow of the casagrande tool produces different water content with a value of 83%, plasticity limit (PL) of 31% and plasticity index (PI) of 52% Grain size produces soil type that is sand that equal to 18,4%, silt 45,3% and clay 36,3%. Water content in the soil is 28.58%. From the results of the overall test, the weight of the type obtained an average value of 2.68 grams/cm1 so that the soil can be classified in several types of pebble, sand, non-organic silt, and organic clay.
