Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) To explain opportunity and barriers of semiorganic and organic rice farming at Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. (2) To analyze the different farmers’ income between semiorganic and organic rice farming at Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. (3) To analyze factors that affected the income of semiorganic and organic rice farming at Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. This research was conducted in Triyoso village, Belitang district, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur regency. The data were collected in May 2015 and consisted of primary and secondary data. The research method used was a survey. The sampling method used in this study was a disproportionated stratified random sampling, totaly using of 60 samples which were 30 samples for each semiorganic and organic rice farmers. Data usage such as primer data and sekunder data. The result indicate that opportunities of semiorganic and organic rice farming in the Triyoso Village at Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency is moderate level with average total value is 15.94 ( with a social enviroment score is 5.85 , economic enviroment score is 3.59 and technical advantages score is 6.5 ) for semiorganic rice farming and for organic rice farming with average total value is 17.12 ( sosial enviroment score e is 7.45 , economic enviroment score e is 4.49 and technical advantages score is 5.18). The resistance value of organic rice farming at triyoso villlage at Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency in low, for organic rice farming total average value is 9.08 ( intoduce factor is 5.02 and decision factor 4.06). The income of organic rice farming ( Rp. 12.499.976,51) more valuable than semiorganic rice farming ( Rp. 17.675.419,44) . The income of organic rice farming more valuable than semiorganic rice farming. Income of semiorganic rice farming is influenced by factors cost of seed, cost of pesticide, price and widely cultivated field size by 67 percent whereas the factors affect the income of organic rice farming are price of rice, the cost of fertilizer, cost of pesticide, widely cultivated and education affect by 87 percent
