Abstract

This thesis was entitle Perkembangan Pasar 16 Ilir Tahun 1995 - 2014 (Material contribution from Social Education Grade VIII in Junior High School 6 of Palembang). The purpose of this thesis are to clarified the development of Pasar 16 Ilir from 1995 to 2014, and to know the role of 16 Ilir market for society - economic life at Palembang city. The method used was historical method. Historical method has several steps like heuristic, critic sources, interpret data, historiography, geography approach, economic and sociology. On 1995, Pasar 16 Ilir was reconstructed after firing that burnt pasar 16 Ilir building on 1 993. After the reconstructed of Pasar 16 Ilir, it never quiet. Furthermore on 2006 the basement that used for parking before changed to be seller stand. The existention of 16 Ilir market was took turn for society - economic life at Palembang city too. Seller and buyer got mutual beneficial. Seller got benefit from selling their product and buyer have easier to get their requirement items. This thesis was written for material contribution to Social Education Grade VIII Junior High School 6 of Palembang specified for identified the market form in the economic activity of society.
