Abstract

This study entitled "Comparison Learning Models of Course Review Horay to Talking Stick on Students’ Learning Outcomes of Social Subject in Class IX at SMPN 10 Palembang". The purpose of this study was to determine differences in learning outcomes among the students who were taught by using Course Review Horay to the students who were taught by using Talking Stick. This study has been conducted on March 2 until March 30, 2016. The sample of this study was class IX.8 as the first experimental class and the class IX.9 as the second experimental class. The determination of the experimental classes was taken by purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this study was the technique of tests. The statistics used to analyze the data in proving the hypothesis was statistical t-test with a significant level df = n1 + n2 = 66 and α = 0.05. Based on the data analysis conducted in the experimental classes, it was found that tobtained= 3.47 was higher than ttable = 1.67, or tcount> ttable.. Thus, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which reads “There was a difference in learning outcomes of social subject in class IX at SMPN 10 Palembang among students who were taught by using Course Review Horay to the students who were taught by using Talking Stick" was accepted.
