Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the effect of frequency and volume of water to the growth of Nyamplung. The research was conducted in greenhouse of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University from November 2018 to Januari 2019. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors of treatment. The first factor was the Frequency of Watering (F) consists of 3 levels that were one a day (F1). Every three days (F2), and every five days (F3). The second factor was the volume of water consists of 3 levels that were 150 ml of water (V1), 100 ml of water (V2), and 50 ml of water (V3). Each treatment combination was replicated three times with 3 polybag with one Nyamplung seedling. There are 81 seedling sempels. The result showed that were no interaction between the frequency of watering with volume of water. Frequency of watering very real affects to all variables. Volume of watering very real affected to plant height, stem diameter, grosh weight, and affected to number of leaves. Concluded that the longer the watering peroid, the lower growth of nyamplung plant seeds.
