Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement the WiMAX Mesh network integration and to determine the performance of TCP and UDP as a transport protocol in the WiMAX system. The methodology used to connect between WiMAX Subscriber Station is using a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) that initially WiMAX Star turns into wide in the form of a mesh. Parameters measured were Throughput and Delay. Tests were conducted using a Base Station and 2 units of Subsciber Station WiMAX. Each of subscriber station will be connected to the Wireless Router. WDS will create two subscribers are interconnected. The client will access the data via star topology and mesh topology, with two units of software testing are IxChariot and Wireshark. Results of the research is Average throughput measured using IxChariot application, WiMAX Mesh topology using WDS Master is 0,097 Mbps 6,2% better than the star topology (0,096 Mbps) and 1% better than the WDS Client topology (0,096 Mbps).
