Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of activities fun cooking in a child's emotional and social development. The subjects were all children in kindergarten IT Group A Menara Fitrah Indralaya with the number of 13 children. Data collected by observation techniques using instruments check list and analyzed using quantitative descriptive method. Analysis of data on the results of meetings of one, two, three, four gained an average child in the range of 82-100 values as much as 3 people (24.99%) with the category growing very well because it was the achievement of the four indicators ie sharing, queuing, showed positive emotions such as laughter and enthusiastic and can work together. Average number of children who were in the range 63-81 score as many as 8 people (57.68%) with the category growing expectations the average child is able to share, in line, showed normal emotion as the expression of a laugh and can work together in spite still under the guidance of teachers. Furthermore, the average child in the value range of 44-62 (15.38%) amounted to 2 children with categories ranging flourish of children still need guidance and direction from the teacher when sharing and queuing with friends. Recently the range of values 25-43 with undeveloped categories there is a child 0 (0%). This means that no more children are getting the undeveloped category. Overall it can be concluded that the application of fun cooking activities already performing well proven by social emotional development of children in group A in kindergarten IT Menara Fitrah Indralaya with the overall average value of 75.71 to reach the category of developing according to expectations.
