Abstract

Haul road geometry is one of the factor that affect the productivity of haul truck. The good haul road is road that can make haul truck work good so haul time can be efficient. In PT. Lematang, length of haul road between front mine and stockpile is 1088,8 meter. The haul road in PT. Lematang has 19 segments, there are 9 straight road and 10 bend road. Production target of PT. Lematang is 30.000 ton per month. But for actual condition with 1 unit excavator Komatsu PC 300 and 3 units dump truck scania P380 is 22.278 ton per month so that production target can not be reached. Base on the used truck, minimum require of road width in a straight road is 9,5 meter and in a bend road is 11,5 meter, so there are some segments of road need to be increase width. In a straight road, increase width are at segments F-G, H-I, J-K, L-M and N-O. In the bend road, increase width are at segments A-B, C-D, E-F, K-L, M-N, O-P, Q-R dan S-T. Superelevasion is 0,1 so that the different hight between the outside and the inside of bend road is 1,15 meter and the cross slope is 19 centimeter. After the improvementof haul road geometry, production amounted to 33,654 tonnes per month, so that the production target is reached.
