Abstract

The research objective was to determine the performance of moaldboard plow coated by copper sheet on tillage of ultisol soil. The research was done at Departement of Agricultural Technology Workshop, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and land Faculty Agriculture Sriwijaya University. The research started in March 2017 to May 2017. The use Factorial Randomized Block Design methods which consist two treatment factors and each treatment was repeated three times. It were material type (A) and hand tractor speed (B). Type material have two level of treatments with type material are steel and copper and hand tractor speed have three level of treatment are 2 km/h, 3 km/h, and 4 km/h. Observation parameters are efficiency, energy requirement, and stickiness of the soil. Result showed that type of plated copper plated material is significantly different to work efficiency, energy requiment and stickiness of soil. Average efficiency of work with copper layer 88,94 percent and steel material 78,61 percent. The need for pirated energy by using a copper layer of 5,09 liters/ha and 5,97 liters/ha of steel material. The result of the measurement of the stickiness of the soil using layer of copper 1,22 kg dan plane singkal steel material of 2,89 kg.
