Abstract

The purposes of this study were to : (1) Find out the total cassava production and the affected factors; (2) to find out : a) the total cassava production used for cassava agro industry manually and utilize the machine measured relatively of installed capacity in the cassava production manufacturer; b) the amount of cassava consumed by the prosperous family; c) the amount of cassava that might be sold outside of Kabupaten Musi Rawas. This research was conducted in Musi Rawas regency. Collecting data in the location of research was carried out on December 2016, the method of research was survey method. This survey method is done by examining a number of examples of farmers who cultivate cassava and consumer of cassava production by prosperous family. From the research total production of cassava in 2016 is 58.444 tons that spread in 14 subdistrict in Musi Rawas regency. Using production factors land and labor affected positively, meanwhile fertilizer and herbicide affected negatively towards the cassava production in Musi Rawas regency in 2016. Total cassava that used to agroindustry capacity of cassava as 305,616 ton with categories of agroindsutry is medium, small, and micro in Musi Rawas regency. Meanwhile, the amount consumption of cassava by prosperous family as 36.761 ton, the amount of cassava that might be sold outside of Kabupaten Musi Rawas as 21.377,384 in 2016. The constraints in developing production of cassava in Musi Rawas observed in 3 sectors; input sectors, on farm sectors, and output sectors. Meanwhile potention in developing cassava farming related to price of cassava in the future.
