Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh mekanisme corporate governanceterhadap financial distress. Variabel corporate governancedalam penelitian ini antara lain adalah jumlah dewan direksi, jumlah komisaris independen, kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan jumlah komite audit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan perkebunan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dan secara terus menerus menerbitkan laporan keuangan pada tahun 2014-2017. Berdasarkan metode purposive sampling, sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 16 perusahaan pada periode 2014-2017 sehingga diperoleh 64 data observasi. Kriteria financial distressdalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan model Springate(S-score). Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi logistik sebagai alat analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah dewan direksi, jumlah komisaris independen, kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan jumlah komite audit tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap financial distress.
