Abstract

SAMUEL SILABAN.Feed Efficiency and Fish Growth Kissing Gouramy (Helostoma temminckii) With Feeding Giant Salvinia Flour (Salvenia molesta) (Supervised by ADE DWI SASANTI and MOHAMAD AMIN) Kissing gouramy is one type of fish that is economical and feasible to carry out aquaculture activities, an important factor in aquaculture is feed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of feed formulations with the main components of giant salvinia as kissing gouramy feed on feed efficiency and growth of kissing gouramy. This research was conducted at the Laboratorium Percobaan, Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from March - April 2019. This research designed using 5 treatments 3 replications. Parameters observed were survival, growth, feed efficiency and water quality. Water quality parameters measured are ammonia, pH, DO, and temperature. The results of this study indicate that giant salvinia flour-based feed has a significant effect on pond fish on feed efficiency, growth and survival of kissing gouramy. The best treatment in this study was found in treatment P1 (10%) both in feed efficiency (24,38%), weight growth (0,78 gram) and growth length (1,16 cm) but the survival of the best treatment at P0 ( control) of 83,33%
