Abstract

The role of the public community is very much needed by the police in reporting an incident or events related to the law. Especially in the city of Palembang, with a large population and large area, this will make it easier for the police who have a limited number of officers to reach all areas of the city of Palembang. The development of information technology, has become one of the options that can be utilized in connecting the community with police officers of Poresta Palembang directly and quickly and is not limited by time and place. To facilitate the Poresta Palembang in managing and handling reports from the public, a media or tools is needed to collect reports from the public that can work directly and quickly, and a priority decision support system for handling community reports using the WP (Weighted Product) method with language PHP and MySQL programming as a database. With this decision support system it is expected to be able to assist the Palembang city resort police in managing and handling reports from the public more quickly and effectively.
