Abstract

One of the mining stages is overburden stripping, PT Adaro Indonesia especially in the South Tutupan pit in overburden stripping using blasting operations. The impact of blasting one of which is ground vibration (ground vibration), ground vibrations cause disturbance to the environment and humans, for close distances from the location of blasting ground vibrations cause disturbance to the stability of the mine slopes both work slopes and final slopes. Avalanche slope occurred at the beginning of March 2018 in the low wall area precisely under Jalan Sulawesi, the landslide caused the Sulawesi Road to be closed and mining activities underneath must be stopped. One of the causes of slope avalanches is blasting activities, because the area is one of the active mining front areas. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research on the effect of ground vibrations due to blasting on slope stability. The study was conducted by measuring ground vibrations due to blasting on the slopes of section 8 low wall and section 15 high wall, data on physical and mechanical properties of the rock making up the slope and the actual slope geometry. The data is processed using Slide 6.0 software with Pseudostatic analysis. PPA values ​​obtained from the measurement results cannot be directly used in calculations, the value of acceleration as a seismic factor called horizontal acceleration is acceleration when maximum displacement occurs and maximum speed. Based on the calculation of the Safety Factor (FK) the working slope is section 8 low wall slope with a horizontal acceleration value of 0.007265 the FK value drops from 3.316 to 3.225 when given a horizontal acceleration value of 0.19036 FK to 1.877. Final slope FK is section 15 high wall slope if given a horizontal acceleration value of 0.007265 FK value decreases from 2.223 to 1.579 when given a horizontal acceleration value of 0.19036 to 1.579. The critical horizontal acceleration value for the low wall section 8 slope is 0.40 and the critical horizontal acceleration value for the high wall section 15 slope is 0.35. Based on the critical acceleration, the maximum value of explosives per delay for the slope distance of 50 meters from the blasting location is 216 kg / delay for cross section 15 and 265.7 kg / delay for cross section 8 slope.
