Abstract

This study aims to determine the anticancer activity of extracts of purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) using stratified extraction based on its polarity level, namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol 70%. Research in carried out in December 2018 up to june 2019. Some of the stages do include taking samples, preparation of samples, extraction of the sample, and than do stage test of phytochemicals in quantitative and test the activity of anticancer. Extraction was carried out by multilevel maceration in the order of solvent n-hexane, ethyl acetat, and ethanol 70%. The parameters observed are testing the activity of anticancer and test phytochemicals are quantitatively include levels of tanin. Research in carried out in experimental laboratory and analysis of the data conducted by descriptive is the way to describe the results of each parameter that wikk be tasted. The results of experimental laboratory and analysis of data are descriptive to test activity anticancer extract Eleocharis dulcis with extraction graded using the solvent n-hexane, ethyl acetat, and ethanol 70% is declared not active as anticancer. Test phytochemical quantitative levels phenols showed that the extract Eleocharis dulcis had little parts phenolic with the level of polarity that is lower. Test phytochemical quantitative levels of flavonoid and levels of tannin most large are on the extraction storey Eleocharis dulcis using the solvent ethanol 70%. Results of the study showed that Eleocharis dulcis are not active as anticancer and has a value phytochemicals phenols, flavonoid, and tannins low
