Abstract

This research was aimed to design free fatty acid absorbent tool on palm oil (CPO). The research was done in December to June at PTPN 7 TASA company, Banyuasin district, South Sumatera. Used method on this research was factorial randomized complete design (RALF). Used variables were three treatment factors with absorbent mass were 1700, 2200 and 270 grams. The observed parameters were CPO volume, CPO density, FFA content, flow velocity and CPO, absorption time and absorbent absorbing ability. Processed Zeolite absorbent type. Each absorbent material factor levels were 1700 gram (A1) and 2200 gram (A2) 2700 gram (A3) with adhesive percentages were 1700 gram, 22000 gram and 2700 gram respectively with absorption time factors were 1 hour (B1), 2 hours (B2) and 3 hours (B3). Every treatment was repeated twice. Result from this research show of each percent from adhesive to absorbent with 1 hour and ALB decreases in the amount 0,53 %, ALB decreases in the amount of 1,07% in 2 hours, dan ALB decreases in the amount 1,26% in 3 hours
