Abstract

The aim of this research are: 1) to evaluate carrier media combinations which are effectively for bacteria endofitic inocultation, and 2) to evaluate the bacteria endofitic inoculant with some carrier media for growth promoting and N absorption of swamp rice. The first step of this research was a field survey for determination swamp soil sampling that would be used as plant media. The soil sampling was collected from swamp area at field research of Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University. Soil analysis was done as addition data. The research used random completely design consisting of six media combinations with three replications. The media were 1) control (P0), 2) LGI liquid media (Pl), 3) rough zeolite (P2), 4). refined zeolite (P3), 5) peat (P4), 6) rice straw compos (P5). Result of research showed that: 1) the different bacteria carrier media effected significantly on all parameters. However the Least Significant different test showed that the significantly difference only with control treatment but there was no difference among the other treatments, and 2) composted rice straw media produce the best rice growth parameters.
