Abstract

Background. Chemistry analyzer is one of the automated diagnostic instruments that used in a clinical laboratory. Mohammad Hoesin General Centre Hospital Palembang has two chemistry analyzers which are Cobas c501 and Architect c8000. A chemistry test using two analyzers needs to be evaluated by a correlative test so that the two instruments can be use interchangeable. Methods. This study was an analytic observational study with cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study was a medical record of chemistry test result with Architect c8000 and Cobas c501 chemistry analyzer at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang which is taken with consecutive sampling technique. The data was analysed with Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test along with Pearson and Spearman correlation test. Results. Correlation test showed a very strong correlation (r >0,9) with a positive direction on total bilirubin and glucose parameters between two analyzers (p <0,05). Conclusions. There is a strong correlation between Architect c8000 and Cobas c501 chemistry test results.
