Abstract

Background: Based on the molecular expression of ER, PR, Her-2 and Ki67, breast cancer can be classified into Luminal A, Luminal B, Her-2 enriched, and Triple Negative. Luminal A breast cancer are ER (+) and or PR (+), Her-2 (-), with low Ki67 <20% , and are commonly found with better prognosis compared to the other subtypes. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the characteristics of clinicopathology with ER and PR status in Luminal A breast cancer in the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Method: Observational analytic was carried out in this study using cross-sectional approach with purposive sampling technique. The population of this study were all patients who examined at the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital with sample of women diagnosed with Luminal A breast cancer. Data were then presented in table form. Result: Highest prevalence of Luminal A breast cancer was found in year 2018 with 0,40%. Based on the characteristics of clinicopathological, it was commonly found at the age group of 41-50 years (34.7%) with clinical stage III (75.3%), the most common histological types consisted of invasive carcinoma NST (77.3) with the highest degree of histopathology at grade III (533%) and found with lymph node metastases (41.3%). ER and PR expressions were found dominantly with positive outcome (92.0% and 94.7%). Conclusion: This study found that there is no significant relationship between the characteristics of clinicopathology and the expression of ER and PR in Luminal A breast cancer. However, it was found that there is a significant relationship between Ki67 and the degree of histopathology. Keyword: Breast cancer, Luminal A, clincopathology, ER, PR dan Ki67.
