Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INCIDENCE OF PHYSICAL URTICARIA AT DERMATOLOGY AND VENEREOLOGY OUTPATIENT CLINIC RSUP MH PALEMBANG 2014 –2018 (Muhammad Gerry Arvin Taruna, December 2019, 51 pages) Faculty of Medicine Sriwijaya University Background. Physical urticaria is a subgroup of Chronic Urticaria (CU) where a lession appear in a form of repeated wheals pruritus with or without angioedema that occurrs after the exposure to a specific stimulation. The purpose of this study is to find incidence of physical urticaria at Dermatology and Venereology outpatient clinic RSUP MH Palembang in a period of 2014 - 2018. Method. This is a descriptive study using a cross sectional measurement. Result. The total of secondary data that meets the inclusion criteria is 110 of samples. The incidents most occurred to the sample in group age of adults for 87 patients (79,1%). The majority of incidents happened to females (65,5%) compared to males (34,5%); unemployed (28,2%); lowland (93,6%); no family with physical urticaria background (78,2%); cold temperature triggers (35,5%). The most common regiments therapy being used is topical therapy that is lotio calamine (38,2%). Conclusion. The incidence of physical urticaria tends to decrease. The majority of the patients, whom are the adults, females, unemployed, lowland living area, no family with physical urticaria background, cold temperatures triggers, and using topical therapy that is lotio calamine.
