Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penyakit Parkinson merupakan kelainan neurologis terbanyak kedua di dunia setelah penyakit Alzheimer. Di Indonesia, pervalensi Penyakit Parkinson diperkirakan mencapai 2,7% dari seluruh jumlah penduduk. Dengan meningkatnya angka harapan hidup, maka angka kejadian Parkinson diperkirakan akan terus meningkat. Dokter umum sebagai garda terdepan dalam pelayanan kesehatan di fasilitas kesehatan tingkat pertama dituntut untuk menguasai pengetahuan mengenai penyakit Parkinson sesuai dengan kompetensinya. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian merupakan dokter umum di Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat (Puskesmas) Kota Palembang periode September hingga Desember 2019. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 88 dokter umum didapatkan 51 (58%) dokter dengan pengetahuan baik dan 37 (42%) dokter dengan pengetahuan kurang baik mengenai penyakit Parkinson, dengan mayoritas mendapat nilai baik pada bagian prognosis dan nilai kurang pada bagian pemeriksaan fisik penyakit Parkinson. Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan sebagian besar dokter umum yang berpraktik di Puskesmas Kota Palembang mengenai penyakit Parkinson termasuk dalam kategori baik.
