Abstract

In the medical world, infusion is an indispensable tool because the infusion functions to enter fluids through veins as nutrients for patients who cannot meet nutrition by eating. Therefore, errors in giving intravenous fluids can be bad for patients. The current infusion is still in manual use where errors as mentioned are still common, for this reason an infusion system was created that could work automatically. To simplify the work of nurses, an automatic infusion concept was designed where the nurse only needed to enter the desired number of drips from the PC. The droplet sensor used in this device is the photodioda sensor and infrared sensor. Meanwhile, as a substitute for a hose press, a servo motor is used to move to open or close the drip flow. The microcontroller used in the design of this tool is the Atmega8535 microcontroller. In this study the fuzzy logic method is used as a control of the automatic infusion control system. From the test results using the luzzy logic method has a percentage of accuracy of 97%. And based on the results of these tests it can be concluded that the fuzzy logic control system can be implemented in an automatic infusion control system that has been designed.
