Abstract

This study aimed to determine the quality of plant seeds fertilized with inorganic fertilizers and organic fertilizers (OPEFB) with the treatment of 0 (zero) months, 1 month and 2 months storage of Sorghum seeds (Sorghum bicolor [L.] Moench). The research was conducted from August - October 2018 in the Seed Technology laboratory of the Department of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya of University, Indralaya. South Sumatra. The design used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 3 treatments: zero month, one month and 2 month storage. and 3 replications, in each replication there were 3 sample rolls using straw paper, and in each roll there were 50 test seeds. The seeds were taken research, as follows : (A) 100% TKKS + 0% NPK fertilizer, (B) 75% TKKS fertilizer + 25% NPK fertilizer, (C) 50% TKKS fertilizer + 50% NPK fertilizer, TKKS fertilizer 25 % + NPK fertilizer 75% (D), and E0% TKKS fertilizer + 100% NPK fertilizer. Storage that is handled is very significant to the rate of seed germination (%) of storage and on the seeds (A-0, B0, and C0). Normal sprout length (cm) with the highest average storage of 2 months and seed (E2). and the shot and root lenght ratio (cm) ratio at 2 months storage on seed D (D0).
