Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) Analyze the effect of the use fertilizers to changes in costs and revenues on a conventional rubber farming and organic rubber farming, (2) Knowing the factors that influence the production of conventional rubber farming and organic rubber farming, (3) Analyzing the allocative efficiency of use of factors of production in conventional rubber farming and organic rubber farming.The result of this research showed that technological canges of conventional rubber farming to the use organic fertilizer had a positive impact on incomes of farmers, this can be seen by the increase in production from 2300kg by year to 2146,07kg by year, while the cost of production decreased from Rp.634.475by years into Rp.295.061 by years, so the revenue increase from Rp.16.534.106 by year into Rp.18,107.184 by years. Based on the results of the regression analysis, unknown factors that significantly affect the production of rubber production in conventional rubber farming is the seed, TSP fertilizer, and pesticides. While the factors of production that significantly affect the production of rubber in rubber farming organic is the seed, fertilizer local micro-organisms, and compost fertilizer. The using of chemical fertilizer(urea, Tsp, Kcl) in the conventional rebber farming was inefficient so the quantity should be decreased,while the using of mol fertilizer in the organic rubber farming was inefficient,so the quantity should be increased. Otherwise, the using of kompos fertilizer in the organic fertilizer was efficient. Key words: Organic rubber farming, production factor, Conventional rubber farming
