Abstract
ABSTRAK The purpose of this research are to describes the quality and type of rice and type of rice substitutes which consumed by residents of Prabumulih City, analyze rice and rice substitute consumption in Prabumulih City. The result showed that the rice consumed by resident of Prabumulih City is good quality rice. Considered from the price more expensive than price of BULOG in rice. Type of dominant rice that consumed was IR 64. Type of dominant rice substitution was instant noodle. Rice consumption high income hosehold isr is lower than medium and low income rate. For households with high income rate. Average level of rice consumption amounted to 94,95 kg.capita/year. While rice comsumption medium rate amounted to 98,64 kg.capita/year, and 99,70 kg.capita/year for low income rate. Substitute of rice comsumption in high income.
