Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of top roll mass and roll rotation speed on the performance of sugarcane press machine. This research was conducted from July 2019 to November 2019 on street Inspektur Marzuki lrg. Al Hikmah number. 2072 RT 04 RW08 Ilir Barat 1 District City of Palembang. This Research used Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) method in those were are two treatment factor, top roll mass variation and top roll rotation speed variation. The parameters of this research consisted of machine work capacity, machine fuel consumption, and cane yield juice. The result showed that the treatment with top roll mass 5.6 kg and the roll rotation speed 150 ± 10 rpm had a higher machine work capacity than any other treatment. A1B1 treatment with top roll mass 4.6 kg and roll rotation speed of 150 ± 10 rpm had the lowest average fuel consumption of 0.90 liter/hour. While for the average of the value of the heat of the sugarcane is found that the A2B1 treatment has the highest average yield 47.24 %.
