Abstract

The Purpose of this research was to help the government in increase food production (rice) for supporte self suffiency rice and provide information to the government about Agricultural equipment and machine needed and the investment costs needed in OganIlir Regency, South Sumatera Province. The research was carried out at the OganIlir Regency's Agriculture and Food security Office, BPP (Service and Extension Agency) Office of Pemulutan District, West Pemulutan District, Indralaya Dictrict, South Sumatra Province. The research was carried outin September to October 2019. This research used descriptive method and secondary data with presentation in the form of tabulation. The parameters used in this study are the development of the number of agricultural equipment and machinery, the level of sufficient agricultural machinery and investment costs. The results showed the adequacy level of four-wheel tractors and rice grinding machines that was 115% and 510% or four-wheel tractors and rice grinding machines are included in more categories and the tool can be transferred to deficient districts. The level of adequacy that was included in the category of less that was a two wheel tractor, transplanter, combine harvester, pump, dryer and power thresher with a percentage of 47%, 32%, 20%, 14%, 50%, and 3% or the amount needed to meet the short comings of the device was 598 units, 134 units, 216 unit, 1744 units, 7 units and 819 units.
