Abstract

Fossil fuels are a source of non-renewable energy that will be depleted sometime later. The use of fuel has a negative impact on the environment due to greenhouse effects and pollution due to the fuel exhaust gas. EV or electric vehicle is a vehicle using electric motors as a movement, EV contributes to the development of the transportation sector because one of the most effective strategies to reduce emissions and reduce the use of materials Burn. This research aims to design and test performance as well as to know the success rate of electric vehicle construction. Data retrieval process is done using prototype electric vehicle with construction of one DC motorcycle brushed 500watt as throttle, and one DC motorcycle brushed PG45 as steering. The training data processed on the PID test is the PWM motor data and the ultrasonic sensor data placed by the Rdden of the EV. The core device used is the Arduino Mega 2560 that serves as a controlling device capable of recording data. EV will be designed and deprogram in order to reduce the speed when there are obstacles on the EV with a distance of 100 centimeters by using PID algorithm. A PID programming is done with Kp = 10, Ki = 30, and Kd = 1 which is obtained by repeated tuning – reset until the corresponding result is needed. From the experiment has been done using the manual method with the trial error has reached the target corresponding set point specified. Keywords : Electric vehicle, Electric car, Autonomous Electric Vehicle.
