Abstract

The research objective was to determine relationship between student engagement and juvenile delinquency in senior high school X Kertapati. The research hypothesis is that there is a relationship between student engagement and juvenile delinquency in senior high school X Kertapati. The subject was 205 student at senior high school X Kertapati. student engagement and juvenile delinquency was measured by the scale of student engagement and juvenile delinquency, with reference to aspect from Fredericks, Blumenfeld dan Paris (2004) and aspect from Sarwono (2016). Data analysis using simple cprrelation Spearman analysis. The results of the correlation Spearman showed that there is relationship between student engagement with juvenile delinquency on student at senior high school X Kertapatiwith value of r = -0,727, and p = 0,000 (p<0,05). It show that student engagement has very strong, negative, and significant relationship with juvenile deinquency. Thus the hypothesis in this research was accepted.
