Abstract

Electricity needs are not distribution particularly in remote areas, for example in the mountains, if there is no distribution of electricity, the need to search for solutions to provide electricity in this area. The potential of resources for this context is the river. Pagar Agung, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan. The potential micro-hydro energy is determinated through the survey, so that elevation and river discharge data are important for the calculation of the potential electric power. Base on discharge of 2,46 m3 /dt second, head of 24 meters, with 50% efficiency, the potential electric power is obtained at 289,30 kW that can be used to distribute electricity to this region.
