Abstract

Animal models that closely mimic the clinical disease can be exploited to facilitate translational research are needed. The Transgenic Adenocarcinoma of Mouse Prostate (TRAMP) model is uniquely suited to elucidate how a spectrum of prostate cancer development raised. Prostate cancer growths from premalignant stage, high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia then progressed into highly dedifferentiated tumors that primarily metastasized to lymph nodes and lungs have similar pattern to that seen in humans
