Abstract

In the laundry work process there are potential dangers that come from several factors, namely unsafe conditions and unsafe actions. The purpose of this study was to conduct an occupational health and safety risk assessment for laundry officers at the Palembang Pusri Hospital. This type of research is qualitative research. The research instrument used in-depth interviews and observation techniques using the Job Safety Analysis table to identify hazards or risks that occur at each stage of the work. The results of this study indicate that the most risky work stages are clumsy postures in bent body positions and heavy loads lifting linen. This risk is high because the frequency of work is carried out every day. It can be concluded that the most dominant risk assessment of laundry officers at Palembang Pusri Hospital is ergonomics. The suggestion of this research is to carry out a safety talk to increase knowledge about K3 such as work procedures, personal protective equipment, and potential hazards as well as to repair or add a buffer at the bottom of the trolley.
