Abstract

ABSTRACT The purposes of this study were to (1) Analyze the factors of production in rubber farming in Batu Raden village Lubuk Raja subdistrict Ogan Komering Ulu regency, (2) Calculate the allocative efficiency of use of factors of production in rubber farming in Batu Raden village Lubuk Raja subdistrict Ogan Komering Ulu regency, and (3) Calculate the income of rubber farmers in rubber farming in Batu Raden village Lubuk Raja subdistrict Ogan Komering Ulu regency. This research has been carried out in March 2019 in the Batu Raden village, because the average of farmer’s livelihood is rubber. The research method used is a survey method with a sampling method using simple random sampling. The results of this study showed that (1) The use of factors of production in the form of land area, seeds, herbicide and labor has significant effect on rubber production, while the factors of production in the form of seeds has not significant effect on rubber production , (2) Production factors such as seeds, pesticide, and fertilizer are not efficient so the input must be reduced, while the production factors of land area and labor has not been efficient so the input must be increased to achieve efficiency , (3) The income of rubber farmers in Batu Raden village were in average Rp. 36.791.985 with a production of 6.050 kilograms per arable in a year, while the income per hectare in a year Rp. 24.685.298 with a production of 4.110 kilograms, and a calculation Rp. 3.065.998 per arable in a month and Rp. 2.057.108 per hectare in a month.
