Abstract

This research aims to compare the performance of government of Tanjung Jabung Baral Regency and Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency in managing their financial resources in actualizing the Good Government Governance by using financial ratios of APBD. The result of this research has shown that during period of years 2005-2007, over all both of the governments financial performance were not good enough, they have not been capable in running the autonomy financially because their PAD each year were still low so they depend on the higher government to pay their expenditure very much. However, if we see from the ratios of effectiveness, efficiency of PAD and the growth of income and expense, the financial performance of these regencies were good enough. In order to improve the financial performance, both of the government managements may increase their PAD as the major revenue of APBD, especially from Regional Tax and Retribution.
