Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to asses the condition of finance PTBA during research of year 2003 - 2008, 2) to know the alternative taken by PTBA for identify the condition of financial distress and 3) to know the step taken by PTBA if financial distress happened. This research use the finance data in the form of financial statement during six accounting period. Finance data processed with the technique analyse the MDA (Multivariate Discriminant Analysis) for the predictability of condition financial distress PTBA. Result of this research indicate that during six years of research of condition of finance PTBA is very good or stay in the healty condition andfar fromfnancial distress. The alternative taken by PTBA for predictability of condition financial distress is with the assessment mount the company health which relate at Kep-100.IMBU/2002. Result from this measurement even also equal to MDA that is company stay in the healty condition. Because of PTBA far from condition of financial distress hence step taken by step to maintain and increase of condition of pe,fomwnce angfiance there is through company policy decanted in Long-Range Plan loading strategy of company business.
