Abstract

From year to year tax role in financing the state budget continues to increase, the tax is the object of the source of State revenue, and provide the largest contribution. This condition, showing the directorate general of duty tax (DJP) is increasingly heavy. One of the efforts made to secure the state income tax from the sector is to carry out the program extensification in this case conducted by the Tax Office (KPP). Extensification of the activities carried out in order to increase the number of taxpayers (WP) and / or employers taxable (PKP) is registered, subject to tax and control the expansion of tax administration by the DJP. This study aims to determine and analyze whether the program made extensive positive effect on tax receipts, preparation of the research object of this thesis is the KPP Madya Palembang as relevant government agencies in providing tax services to the community. This is a descriptive research method and results of research show receipts from 2006 to 2010 has increased despite the realization of revenue has not met the target that you want to accomplish. this shows that the KPP Madya Palembang, kilkenny successfully the implement extensification program. But all of this, it is not separated from the active role of the taxpayer and the solid cooperation between KPP Madya Palembang own employees.
