Abstract

Duku plants (Lansium domesticum Corr) are annual plants that grow in tropical regions, especially Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. In Indonesia, every region that has duku plants has superior duku varieties, for example South Sumatera has a superior duku known as Duku Rasuan or Duku Komering, while Jambi has a superior duku by the name Duku Kumpeh. These superior duku have characteristics such as the size of the fruit is relatively large and not gummy, the skin of the fruit is thin and has a light yellow color, the flesh of the fruit is clear, tastes sweet, has a lot of water content and has almost no seeds. Twig blight diseases have an early symptoms that arises on the wooden parts as indicated by the presence of black patches of color. Black patches are increasing in number, and the leaves will turn yellow, the dried leaves eventually fall partially and cause the twigs to die. If the twig is split on the inside of the twig, the color vessels turn brown. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of biological fertilizers and biopesticides based on Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma harzianum in suppressing the development of twig blight disease (Botryodiplodia spp.) on duku plants. The research location was in Bungin Tinggi Village, Sirah Pulau Padang, OKI Regency. Using factorial randomized block design (RBD). During the implementation of October-December 2019. The results showed that the application of biological fertilizers and biopesticides was significantly different from the intensity of disease attacks and not significantly different from the duku canopy density. While the leaves are not significantly different in the first month and significantly different in the second month, this is because the microbes contained in biopesticide biological fertilizers can help bind nitrogen compounds (N) and decompose phosphate (F) and Potassium (K) and as a stimulant for plant growth and acts as an antagonist for plant diseases.
