Abstract

Performansi motor bakar bensin dengan menggunakan bahan bakar campuran kemungkinan tidak akan sama dengan performansi apabila menggunakan bahan bakar bensin murni. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu pengujian untuk mengetahui performansi motor bakar bensin menggunakan bahan bakar campuran (gasoline dengan producer gas) dimana producer gas yang digunakan adalah hasil gasifikasi batu bara kualitas rendah sumatera selatan. Pengujian torsi dan brake power menggunakan rope brake dynamometer dengan variasi putaran motor 1500-3500 rpm dan menggunakan beban 5 kg. Hasil pengujian menunjukan torsi minimum dan maksimum yang dihasikan oleh motor bakar bensin dengan bahan bakar single fuel dan campuran dengan gas hasil gasifikasi masing-masing sebesar 3,415 N.m; 4,420 N.m dan 3,014 N.m; 4,018 N.m. Sedangkan brake power minimum dan maksimum yang dihasikan oleh motor bakar bensin dengan bahan bakar single fuel dan campuran dengan gas hasil gasifikasi masing-masing sebesar 0,523 kW; 1,639 kW dan 0,482 kW; 1,489 kW.
