Abstract

This study was aim at improve the outcomes and learning activities of grade V SD Negeri 139 Palembang by applying PMRI's approach in the geometry of space construction. This type of research is classroom action research. This research requires 2 cycles to achieve indicators of research success. In one cycle has 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used are tests to measure student learning outcomes and observation to support the improvement of student learning activities. The results of this study was in the cycle I of the students learning outcomes reached 71.42% classical completeness. Then, in cycle II the students learning outcomes reached 89.72% classical completeness. From observations during the learning process, the percentage of students activities in the cycle I was 72.4%, then in the cycle II was 82.7%. From these data it can be concluded that the application of PMRI can improve learning outcomes and activities of students of class V of SD Negeri 139 Palembang in the geometry of space construction.
