Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive method research aims to find out how the social skills of class X students in high school Negeri 06 Palembang. The population in this study was Mipa class X, amounting to 210 students. The technique used in this study was purposive sampling, which is the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations. Sampling in this study was taken only one class from six classes in class X Mipa, consisting of X.1, X.2, X.3.X.4X.5 and X.6. Of the six classes that were sampled, namely class X Mipa 5. Ie, amounting to 35 students. The keriteria used in this study was obtained from student relationships with peers in the environment The student's school is based on a gang friend, a junior high school classmate and a classmate. These criteria are based on advice from BK teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection instrument was a social skills questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using a percentage formula. The results of data analysis from this study indicate that students' social skills have a high percentage (T) of 69%. Meanwhile, when viewed from the aspect of social skills, in the aspect of peer relationships has a high percentage (T) 66%, self-management aspects have a high percentage (T) 69%, the aspect of assertive behavior has a high percentage (T) 57%, and compliance aspects have moderate percentage (S) 71%.
