Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of tomato plant. This research was conducted at Sukamaju, Sako, Palembang. This research conducted from April until August 2019. The research method which is used with factorial complete random design, consisting of 2 factor and repeated 3 times, there were 2 plants of each the experimental unit so the total amount 96 plants. Factor 1 coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer (K) consist of K_0 = without coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer, K_1 = coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer (100 ml/plant), K_2 = coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer (200 ml/plant), K_3 = coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer (300 ml/plant. Factor 2 NPK fertilizer (N) consist of N_1 = 25% = (2,62 g/plant), N_2 = 50% = (5,25 g/plant), N_3 = 75% = (7,87 g/plant), N_4 = 100% = (10,5 g/plant). Result of the research showed that the application of coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer were no significant effect on plant height, dry weight of plant, percentage of interest into fruit, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant and diameter of fruit per plant, but very significant effect on the number of flowers per plant. Coconut fibre liquid organic fertilizer with dose 300 ml/plant and NPK fertilizer 25% = (2,62 g/plant) can produce the largest number of flower.
