Abstract

Palembang City is one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia. Which means that the city is the center of trade, industry and government activities. This is related to the increasing population density. Increased population density also increases the need for residential housing, not comparable with increasingly narrow urban land. This is directly proportional to the needs of the vehicle as a means of transportation. Motorized vehicles produce dangerous exhaust gases, in addition, the number of vehicles will also cause other problems, namely congestion. Therefore, the planning and design of this final project creates an architectural solution related to the development of a mixed spatial plan that utilizes the use of public transportation. There are two apartment entrances, namely from the first floor and second floor. On the second floor there is a skybridge that connects the apartment building directly with the LRT station. This apartment uses a rigid structure with reinforced concrete material. In the apartment facade there are balconies and cantilevers that go forward and backward so that the sun's heat does not go directly into the unit.
