Abstract

PT. Satria Bahana Sarana is using the open-pit mining method and use excavators and dump trucks for excavation, loading and transportation activities. In mining activities, there are several things that can disrupt the mining activities and cause the production target is not achieved, for example; rain, slippery, force majeur and wait other unit. Therefore, the factors that interfere with mining activities and cause the effectiveness of the equipment is not optimal need to be known and analyzed, so it does not reach the production target. Availability, ultility, and quality of productivity are parameters of the effectiveness of equipment performance. The analysis result of the effectiveness of the equipment at North Pit-1 are as follows; excavator Caterpillar 390F (EX 10-009) is 47.17%, excavator Komatsu PC2000 (E2001) is 43.01%, excavator Komatsu PC2000 (E2002) is 45.38%, and dump truck Komatsu HD 785 is 41.34%. Based on the analysis result of the effectiveness of the equipment obtained production on the excavator Caterpillar 390F (EX 10-009) is 154,170.24 BCM/month, excavator Komatsu PC2000 (E2001) is 272,314.56 BCM/month, excavator Komatsu PC2000 (E2002) is 273,799.68 BCM/month dan dump truck Komatsu HD 785; fleet 1 is 29,171.52 BCM/month, fleet 2 is 31,758.72 BCM/month, fleet 3 is 27,901.44 BCM/month. The total production is 531,720 BCM/month of the 713,000 BCM/month production target. After optimizing working hours, work efficiency increased to 58.18 % and total production increased to 716,921.16 BCM/Month.
