Abstract

In addition to meeting its desired coal production target, PT. Bukit Asam also handles the coal produced. The Muara Tiga Besar site coal handling facility is called the Coal Handling Facility-2 (CHF-2). In the CHF-2 system there are three reclaim feeders as recipients of coal mining results, but only two units of reclaim feeder 1 and 2 are operated. In reclaim feeder 1 there is a bulldozer that works as a coal feeder, while in reclaim feeder 2 the coal feed is carried out by dumptruck. CHF-2 coal production target in September 2019 is 450,000 tons, but the realization is 349,677.60 tons or around 78% of the planned target. The reason for not achieving the production target is due to the low work efficiency caused by the many time constraints that occur. Evaluation was carried out on the obstacles due to material blockage and standby time constraints to reduce the time of the obstacle so that the work efficiency of CHF-2 increased from 62.94% to 73.12%. Another effort to achieve the production target is to operate the reclaim feeder 3 so that CHF-2 production increases to 457,398.42 tons or 101.64% of the planned target.
