Abstract

Electrical energy is the energy that continues increasing the electricity usage as the increasing electrical access along with the changing lifestyle of the Indonesian people. As the load increase along with the population growth will result the percentage increase in disturbances. Disturbances that often occur are short-circuit, therefore good coordination and relay settings are needed to overcome the interruption. Good coordination and relay settings will minimize the risk of damage to the electrical equipment. Therefore the calculation of the overcurrent relays and ground fault relay in helium feeders at the gandus substations is necessary. TMS value that has been obtained from the calculation results are, the overcurrent relay on the 150 kV transformer side of 0.3076 SI, the 20 kV transformer side of 0.17947 SI and on the feeder of 0.102 SI. And the results of the calculation from the adjustment in the ground fault relay are, TMS values on the 150 kV transformer side at 0.158 SI, the 20 kV transformer side at 0.0925 SI and the Helium feeder at 0.034 SI. From the comparison of calculation results and field data stated that the field data is a fine result but the working time (TMS) in the field are slower than the calculation results.
