Abstract

The increasing number of communication medium used today makes the renewal on it more done frequently as well; one of which uses the light communication as a source of communication. LIFI is a light communication used by the writer as a transmitter medium to display an image on a display that uses an LCD. The researcher conducted this study by using sensor and solar panel as a light catcher that has been emitted by the LED, which will be then processed by a receiver and automatic gain circuit so that it can be an output image. In the test used in this study, the researcher used parameters including distance, delay, gain, and Bit Error Rate (BER) calculation. Test results with a minimum distance of 15 cm and a maximum distance of 50 cm. The highest gain value is 60 db. Whereas in testing the delay value with the lowest result is 1 ms. This distance is the worst distance in the transmission process that is 45 cm and for the lowest value bit error rate is 0,012625 with a distance of 35 cm.
