Abstract

The development of antennas using Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology is very rapid in telecommunications systems, especially on Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) with dual band working frequencies, namely 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. 4 x 4 dual band Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antennas was designed using Studio Suite 2016 CST (Computer Simulation Technology) software. The 4 x 4 dual band Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna using a hybrid patch was designed using a FR-4 Epoxy substrate with a dielectric constant value (Ɛr) = 4.3 with a substrate thickness (h) = 1.6 mm at a frequency of 2,4 GHz, the gains resulted are of 5,460 dBi, 5,462 dBi, 5,462 dBi, 5,460 dBi, for 5.8 GHz frequency with the gains resulted are of 6,819 dBi, 6,836 dBi, 6,836 dBi, 6,819 dBi. at a frequency of 2,4 GHz Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) resulted are of 1,6998, 1,5767, 1,5768, and 1,6997 , for 5.8 GHz frequency with the vswr resulted are of 1,4888, 1,4147, 1,4145 and 1,4889, at a frequency of 2,4 GHz return loss resulted are of -11,731 dB, -85,43 dB, -79,742 dB, -78,018 dB, -86,895 dB, -13,004 dB, -79,748 dB, -80,638 dB, -80,572 dB, -79,75 dB, -13,005 dB, -86,981 dB, -78,007 dB, -79,745 dB, -85,419 dB, -11,726 dB at a frequency of 5,8 GHz return loss resulted are of -14,142 dB, -89,338 dB, -74,176 dB, -65,847 dB, -92,097 dB, -15,303 dB, -67,361 dB, -75,21 dB, -75,129 dB, -67,36 dB, -15,305 dB, -92,104 dB, -65,838 dB, -74,167 dB, -89,348 dB, dan -14,139 dB, and at a frequency of 2,4 GHz bandwidth resulted are of 644,1 Mhz, 592,4 Mhz, 752,9 Mhz, 696,8 MHz, at a frequency of 5,8 GHz bandwidth resulted are of 601,2 Mhz, 747,1 Mhz, 683,4 Mhz, dan 624,4 Mhz.
